Monthly Musings | Mariah Carey Has Exited the Vault

OK, but let’s talk about how cute that owl mug is. I’m obsessed.

Hello! Happy November! October was a fun, busy month, and now I look forward to just slowing down, unwinding, and taking it easy the rest of the year.

Pffffft.

Work has never been busier. Life has never been busier! But I love every twist and turn that it brings. Our toddler continues to grow and makes me laugh every day, and our second daughter continues to grow and give me lots of sciatica and heartburn, but I know it’s just her love language.

What I did in October

We started the month with a visit from our close friends who live in Oregon. We hosted a dinner party with another couple and boy was that fun. Then, the next day we headed to Saratoga Springs for the weekend to celebrate a wedding. Nora totally rocked her first weekend away from mom and dad, and we did too! It was nice to spend some time with just Ian and explore a new place.

The following weekend? Another wedding! Followed by a week of Nora getting everyone sick with some kind of virus she picked up from the wedding (girlfriend danced for 3 hours straight, no joke. Then, we celebrated Halloween with a little trick-or-treating in 30-degree weather!

I read 3 books in October, and credit my low reading month to lack of work travel (doctor’s orders!), but let me tell you, Tom Lake was one of the best books I’ve read in a while, so totally worth the slow burn there!

What I’m up to in November

Honestly, it’s looking pretty light, and I am happy with it! It’s my birthday month, and I have a few lunch plans and friend dates, but other than that, just working and growing a human while raising a tiny one!
