Happy October — and one year of my newsletter, Monthly Musings!

What an exciting year it has been. I’ve traveled to 16 different cities, celebrated our baby’s first birthday, got a promotion, and now we are expecting our second baby in four short months!

What’s up in the year ahead? Lots of new baby milestones — from our toddler to our newborn. More work travel (once I return from a nice, long maternity leave with my little girl), more fitness, more blogging, more reading, and more poetry! So excited for what’s to come.

What I did in September

September was a super-fun blur! We went apple picking, I went to book club (here are the books I read in September — some good ones!), we met our good friend’s baby boy, and I went to Atlanta and San Ramon, Cali. for work (details in another post!) … and we ran a family 5K!

Whew!

What I’m up to in October

… A whole lot. Ian is traveling for work in October, then, we have two weddings two weekends in a row. Then I am traveling to Toronto for work! We are also going to see our besties who moved to Portland! And, Ian has plenty of soccer games to keep himself busy (he’s a professional referee)! The holidays will be here before we know it!

I didn’t know Ian was back to reffing- that’s exciting! And I don’t do much podcast listening, but I think you would really like Aria Code. They talk about operatic arias but like in the context of what it means in the story and the psychology of the character and it brings a good spin to it.

Fun! I’ll give it a listen.

He’s just doing high school and college now in the fall. No more MLS games!
